We seek:

  • In the Faculty IV: School of Science and Technology, Dep. Bauingenieurwesen, Lehrstuhl für Baustatik, we are looking for a researcher   as of the earliest possible date  at the following conditions:
  • 100% = 39,83 hours  
  • Pay grade 13  TV-L
  • limited  for 2 years

Your tasks:

  • Contributing to research in the field of analysis of civil structures and their elements using real-time hybrid simulations
  • Investigating data-driven methods, such as artificial neural networks
  • Conducting experiments on model tests
  • Collaborating with international research groups
  • Publishing research results in relevant journals and presenting at conferences
  • Teaching obligation: 4 semester hours per week
  • Assisting in the preparation of research proposals

Your profile:

  • Ph.D. in Civil Engineering or related disciplines such as Mechanical Engineering or Control Engineering
  • Solid knowledge in structural dynamics
  • Experience in the experimental investigation of structures or elements
  • Experience with sensors, data recording, and analysis
  • Publications in international, topic-relevant journals
  • Advanced English skills (at least at C1 level)
  • Strong time management skills and a high degree of initiative
